When are you entitled to compensation?

EU regulation 261/2004 covers flights departing from the EU/EEA, and flights into the EU/EEA with an EU airline. Typical cases:

  • Arrival more than 3 hours late
  • Cancellation with less than 14 days' notice
  • Denied boarding due to overbooking
  • A missed connection caused by an earlier delay

Extraordinary circumstances such as severe weather or air traffic control strikes can remove the airline's obligation. We check this for every flight before suggesting a claim.
